Dearest Wanderers of Forgotten Lands and Readers,

Welcome.

I, the newly appointed Curator of the Ashen Archives, invite you to join Umbral Mail, a limited dispatch sent in my own ink, dusty fading parchment, and with each story I uncover here in the archive.

These letters are fragments, torn from broken myths buried beneath ash and dust, long forgotten. Within each sealed envelope, you shall receive one such fragment. Told to the best of my ability from my findings. All a secret to be revealed each time my letter graces the doorway of those who wish to join my journey.

Well, perhaps I should word it more plainly, in each envelope dear reader you will receieve:
- An A5 dark fantasy print, created with ink

- A short story/letter from me, inspired by the art piece

- And anything else I may happen to find in the dusty corners of this never ending archive

Now, these take time, so will not be a month by month occurrence, I will of course send them out just as soon as they are ready, you will be notified when the next letter is available.

I hope that you will enjoy sitting for a moment in each tale, and find a quiet moment of peace in reading them, and so that perhaps my time here in the archives isn't as wasted as my predecessors who never spoke of the times before. 

Let this first letter mark the beginning of your passage through the Ashen Archives — a place where silence speaks, ink remembers, and light is a thing that bleeds truth onto the page.
